The BlaXican Experience

The BlaXican Experience documents the African Diaspora along the South Texas borderlands and in Mexico. At the center of the collection is interactions between Black and Brown peoples. Experiences between Black and Brown people are documented through enslaved narratives, Black migration to the South Texas border, Spanish comic books, films and music. The BlaXican Experience demonstrates that interactions between Black and Brown people has always existed and continues to exist whether those experiences are negative or positive they are still highly valuable.
